If you can get past the idea that the guy in the photo looks like he has stolen that baby, this is actually an amazing sling. The Maya Wrap has been around for a long time and known for being comfortable and finally the masses are catching on. The fabric on this sling is long enough that it can also be used as a nursing cover. You don't have to choose a hippie, patchouli looking pattern. Modern, solid colors are available. This simple hip carrier has lots of hidden extras. The shoulder strap cups the outside of the shoulder instead of riding up the neck. There is also an extra strap around the waist for added support. This wrap takes some practice to learn how to put it on, but it’s totally worth it. When my baby was a newborn, I would put it on in the morning with the baby in it and leave it on all day. It really is comfy enough to wear all day long. My baby would tell me when it was time to nurse, and I wouldn't even have to take off the wrap.
